Why Make Movies?
  • Video provides a medium for students to voice their opinions in the classroom.
  • Video is a medium that students feel comfortable with, they have grown up with television, and with a good media literacy program, the students can become producers rather than consumers of this form of communication.
  • Students that may not normally speak up, can send their message through “actors” to participate in class.
4
Digital Natives

    • Spent 10,000 hours playing video games
    • 20,000 hours watching TV
