Biographical Dictionary is an online biographical dictionary that covers more than 28,000 notable men and women who have shaped our world from ancient times to the present day.

Black History.com This site invites visitors to learn about, participate in, and contribute to the rich tapestry of Black history, Teachers and students will find it easy to navigate through the site, which offers a forum for people to share their experiences, stories and thoughts. Hints and tools show teachers how to help their students prepare their own stories and pictures for placement on the site.

Nebraska Department of Education's Social Science Resources Homepage This site contains lesson plans that connect with the themes of Nebraska's social studies frameworks.

NCSS Online: The Information Source for Social Studies Education This site contains excellent units for middle school students on the Holocaust and women's suffrage in the United States.

Rabbit in the Moon: Mayan Glyphs and Architecture Tour a Mayan palace and a pyramid and learn the Mayan syllabary.

RETANet, Resources for Teaching About the Americas This site has accessible resources and curriculum materials about Latin America, the Spanish Caribbean, and the U.S. Southwest.
