Reminder: You can book and extend media from the ESU #8 Media/Tech Resource Center via email at media8@esu8.org To do this, type BOOK or EXTEND on the subject/re line and include the following information in the body of your message:
  1. Building and Teacher Number (e.g. 166.21)
  2. Title Identification Number (e.g. VC4173)
  3. Title (e.g. Flowers)
  4. Booking Date (e.g. April 18 Book)

The Digital Librarian is a yahoo-style directory of 67 subjects all chosen by Margaret Vail Anderson, a librarian at the Cortland Free Library in upstate New York.

Education World is a comprehensive search engine/directory focusing solely on education. Subjects at this site are arranged in a easy-to-read format. There's also an online forum, the latest education news, and lengthy reviews of their favorite sites.

Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a national information system designed to give educators access to an extensive body of education-related literature and Internet links. It is said to be the best educational resource on the Internet.

Indiana University Bloomington Libraries

Internet Public Library is free! and offers a remarkable number of links to reference materials, newspapers, periodicals, and on-line text. There is a youth section and a teen section.

Kaplan is a great site for both teachers and students.

Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators, one of the easiest and most comprehensive sites, was created to assist teachers and students.

The Library in the Sky was designed for use by teachers, students, and home-schooling parents. You'll find online materials related to African-American oral traditions, astronomy, biology, civics, critical thinking and analysis, earth science, ecology, government, history, and integrating the Internet into the curriculum.
