These two sites,
Beyond the MLA Handbook and Janice Walker's MLA-Style Citations of Electronic Sources, are great for finding out how to cite the Web in a bibliography. It is said to be the "style bible for most college students".

Calgary Herald Online: Creating a Classroom Newspaper If you want your students to learn how to read and create newspapers, check out this site! It offers five units for putting together a newspaper, with a wide variety of assignments across the curriculum. It was designed for students from elementary through high school with varying ability levels.

CRAYON (CReAte Your Own Newspaper) This site lets you create a "newspaper" consisting of links to more than 100 news sources on the Internet. The links let you access national and international news, weather, business news, technology news, entertainment news, sports, comics, tabloid news, and news about the Internet.

The Gate This site is an Internet-based offering from two West Coast newspapers, the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Examiner. It is high on interactivity.

INKSPOT This site is a resource for serious writers of all ages. Links include everything from a free newsletter to a comprehensive listing of grammar and style sites. There is a Young Writer's Resource section that includes an advice column, interviews with successful young writers, and a forum for exchanging writing tips.

PBS (Public Broadcasting Station)

The PointCast Network (PCN) This site provides real-time current news and information. It broadcasts personalized news, stock quotes, weather, and more. It will even allow you to customize the type and amount of information you receive. You will have to download the software and configure it for the information you want to receive, but to do this (subscribe) is FREE!
