Ruth Miller is the Director of Special Education for Educational Service Unit 8. She began her work at ESU 8 in the fall July 2002. Ruth supervises all of the special education staff. She assists school district administrators with Special Education Final Financial reports; non public school consultation meetings: and the special education reports that are due in October and June of each year. Ruth helps resource teachers and special education service providers when they have questions about Rule 51 or Rule 52. She also assists districts with Results Matter requirements and is the GOLD online administrator for most of the districts in ESU 8. Ruth also is the chairperson of Early Childhood Planning Region Team 8. Ruth is the Region III representative on the SRS Advisory Board.
Tammy Cheatum is the part time Special Education Coordinator for ESU 8. She has been with ESU 8 since August 2016. She was previously with NE Unified #1 at Clearwater-Orchard Schools. She has experience as an elementary teacher, K-12 special education, Title 1 services and K-12 school counseling. If you have any questions about behavior consults, transitions for high school students, or ILCD (Improving Learning for Children with Disabilities), she may assist you.
Timmeree Gadeken is the Special Education Administrative Assistant. She has been employed at ESU 8 since the fall of 2014.
