Mid-State Assessment Consortium Workshops: CutScore Preparation at ESU #8, 9:00-1:00.

“From L to J” with Dr. Lee Jenkins at ESU #8, 9:00-3:00. This two-day training is an opportunity to learn a system that can be immediately used in the classroom.

ESU #8 . . . Honoring the Past, Celebrating in the Present, and Looking to the Future!
Featuring ESU #8 Assistant Administrator, Jill Bates!
Jill Bates is currently in her 25th year with ESU #8. She began her career with the Unit as a part-time school nurse in the Clearwater and Antelope County Class I schools. In 1986, she was named Nursing Supervisor and served as the Neligh-
Oakdale school nurse for the next 13 years. Jill has been the ESU #8 Assistant Administrator since 1999.
She graduated from UNMC and is a Registered Nurse. She received a B.S.E. from UNL with teaching endorsements in 7-12 biology, math and health. Her Master's Degree was awarded by Wayne State College.
Before joining ESU #8, Jill taught biology and physical science at Neligh-Oakdale High School. She also worked as a school nurse for ESU #9 in Hastings and as a pediatric nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Jill's interests include digital photography, travel, exercise, reading and
music.

“Thank You”
The Speech Therapy Department, the Early Childhood Special Educators, and the Learning Center Teachers want to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to the family of the late Jan White. As the Speech/Language Coordinator for ESU #8, Jan Shared her love of literacy with everyone she met. Her legacy will continue to live on in ESU #8, through her family’s generous donation of her collection of children’s books.
