GARY HOSTERT IS NAMED NEBRASKA RURAL AND COMMUNITY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION'S SECONDARY TEACHER OF THE YEAR!

Gary Hostert, Jr. High History teacher at O’Neill Public Schools, has been named the Nebraska Rural and Community School Association’s Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Hostert received the award at a luncheon during the association’s Spring Conference on Wednesday, March 12th. He was nominated by O’Neill Public School’s administration and selected from a number of worthy teachers throughout the state. Letters of support were written by administrators, co-teachers, parents and students at the school. Select comments from the letters of support include: Mr. Hostert exemplifies creative instruction in the classroom. He loves the content he teaches and looks for unique ways to engage kids in that curriculum. While his radio personality might be that of the Keeper of All Knowledge, here at O’Neill High School he might better be known as the Giver of All Knowledge.
"To this day I am always amazed at the things my children know and will say 'we learned that in Mr. Hostert’s class'". Mr. Hostert is a wonderful history teacher. Gary is a “one of a kind” teacher, and we are lucky to have him teaching at O’Neill Public Schools.
Congratulations Gary! |
