The Nebraska State Council for Social Studies will hold its fall conference, November 2 - 3, 2007 at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.
Friday’s highlights include luncheon speaker, Dr. Stephen Joel, Superintendent of Grand Island Public schools. Dinner speaker will be Peter Fredlake from the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.
Four five hour sessions including “The War That Made America” presented by Dr. Jim Wetsler from Pennsylvania.
Saturday’s sessions will include numerous breakouts presented by noted Social Studies teachers on the topics of International Education, technology and teaching strategies for all Social Studies teachers.
