SCIENCE TEACHERS

[print this flyer]

The environment and invasive species are an efficient way to study many science concepts (and related standards) under a broader theme.  This workshop will feature many people willing to work with you and your students to utilize “No Child Left Inside” pedagogy.  Ready to use resources will also be provided to help you meet standards challenges as well.

ANOTHER WORKSHOP?
Summers are a cherished time for teachers.  It is a time of recuperation and recharge; the antidote to the stressful school year.  Asking you to commit a day to a workshop is asking a lot!  BUT, your attendance will be worth your while.

You will have the opportunity to create contacts with resource agencies and peer groups that will support your efforts in the classroom. You will take home ready to use materials that will help make science instruction authentic to your students. Throw in some inspirational moments to remind you why we teach (other than dedication to poverty) and you have a day well spent. Great food and the $100 stipend should clinch the deal for you.
