OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM:

This Step Up to Writing Training is designed for Grades K-3 educators including: Title I, Special Education, ELL, elementary classroom teachers, content specialists and elementary principals.

The training, written by Maureen Auman, uses multi-sensory, classroom-proven teaching strategies and student writing activities to improve writing. It is designed to give educators practical, and helpful instruction about writing assignments, assessments, and everyday writing tasks. Strategies and applications will be practiced for teaching students to write clear, organized paragraphs, reports, and essays, personal narratives, stories and creative pieces.

NOTE: Day One is a prerequisite to Day Two and Day Three.

REQUIRED MANUAL: The New 3rd Edition Step Up to Writing Teacher's Manual or Classroom Set is required for either Primary, Intermediate or Secondary and must be ordered by the school district prior to the workshop. Contact SoprisWest.com (or at 800.547.6747) to order your manual.

WORKSHOP COST: $20.00 Registration Fee (includes training packet and is a one time fee) College credit possible. A minimum of 7 students must be enrolled.
