Keynote and Speakers:

Jim Bierma, President of the American School Counselor Association.
A K-12 counselor, a member of the Saint Paul Public Schools Crisis Team, an adjunct professor at University of Minnesota and a counselor/tutor at homeless shelters. His website at www.mis.spps.org/counselors contains 80 articles and 230 school counseling lessons that he has written. He was a member of three school counseling teams that have implemented the ASCA National Model and produced positive systemic change.

Cheri Lovre, Director of the Crisis Management Institute.
Cheri has over 30 years of experience in the field of grief and trauma. Because of her range of experience, she has developed a philosophy and a specific approach toward the unique requirements of survivors of trauma. The focus of much of that time has been working with schools in the aftermath of student and staff death or other tragedies that overwhelm their usual abilities to cope.

Brian Law, Georgia School Counselor Association President.
Former ASCA Elementary School Counselor of the year. Brian has presented numerous times at the ASCA conference and has been a counselor at all three levels (elementary, middle and secondary). Brian is entertaining and enthusiastic and will entertain his audience and he shares his experiences.
