OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM:
This Step
Up to Writing Training is designed for Grades 7-12 educators including:
Title I, Special Education, ELL, Elementary Classroom Teachers, content
specialists, and Principals.
This training,
written by Maureen Auman, uses multi-sensory, classroom-proven teaching
strategies and student writing activities to improve writing. It is designed
to give educators practical, and helpful instruction about writing assignments,
assessments, and everyday writing tasks. Strategies and applications will
be practiced for teaching students to write clear, organized paragraphs,
reports, and essays, personal narratives, stories and creative pieces.
NOTE: Day One is a prerequisite to Day Two.
REQUIRED
MANUAL: The New 3rd Edition Step Up to Writing Teacher's Manual must be ordered and purchased for the teacher's grade level (Primary, Intermediate or Secondary) by your school district prior to the workshop. Contact www.sopriswest.com or call (800) 547.6747 to order your training manual.
WORKSHOP COST: $20.00 Registration Fee (includes training packet and is a one time fee) for ESU #8 teachers and $25.00 for teachers outside ESU #8. A minimum of 7 students must be enrolled.
