"A life is not important except for the impact it has upon other lives."... Jackie Robinson

Clara Barton

Do you know who started the Red Cross? I Clara Barton did. I helped soldiers in the Civil War. I definitely did not fight, but helped wounded people. "Angel of the Battlefield" is what many people called me. When one of my brothers was injured, I nursed him back to health and decided to start the Red Cross. Also, I became the first woman to join the Patent Office, where Invention Licenses are given. Because of me, many people's lives are saved.
