Sacajawea

Did you know I was the only woman to go with Lewis & Clark on their expedition?  I, Sacagawea, am a Shoshone woman born in 1788 in the Rocky Mountains of present-day Idaho.  When I was hunting with the young hunters I was captured by Hidatsa Indians they named me Sacagawea witch meant ''Bird Woman.” I had a baby on the trip and named him ''Pomp''. We met my Shoshone people on the trip and my long lost brother gave us horses to go across the mountains. The trip met the Pacific Ocean, Because of me I helped form the United States.
