Social Studies Outcomes

 

SS-4-1            Students will describe economic and social development of Nebraska in the 20th century.

 

SS-4-2            Students will explain how the environment affected Native Americans before the arrival of Europeans in our state.

 

SS-4-3            Students will compare life to the Indians with that of the Europeans from the days of European exploration until statehood.

 

SS-4-4            Students will identify important individuals and symbols in history of Nebraska and tell the significance and importance of each.

 

SS-4-5            Students will describe the main regions of the United States and give the major characteristics of each region.

 

SS-4-6            Students will describe the key elements of a market economy and relate how they are a part of those elements.

 

SS-4-7            Students will explain how laws are made, enforced, and the penalty for not obeying a law in our American society.

 

SS-4-8            Students will distinguish between a unicameral legislature and other types of state legislatures while giving characteristics of each type.
