My first day with a fifth grader was thrilling. Let me tell you about my adventures with Sam. First, in Language Arts class, Sam showed me how to practice Graffiti (handwriting for the Palm) with a game called Giraffe.

Sam took me to P.E. with her where they played basketball. Then it was on to Social Studies and Math. At lunch Sam had a corn dog and she let me try it, but I didn’t really like it. Recess was fun. Sam let me swing on the swings. We also went down the slide a few times. ( I really liked the slide)After a while I did the monkey bars, with some help from Sam because I was a little to short to reach. When we went in we had reading and science with Mrs. Kloppenborg. Sam let me read with her, but I didn’t understand it to well, but I think Sam did. Next it was study hall where Sam did her homework and I just watched.
When Steph, Sam’s big sister picked us up I got to meet Rags, Sam’s cute little puppy. When we got home Sam gave me the Grand tour of the house, and I think her house is very cozy. Well then Sam had to finish the homework that she didn’t have done. I watched T.V. while she worked. Then when Sam was finished we sang on her karaoke machine, and that was a BLAST!!! We sang songs like “What a Girl Wants” and “I’m a Genie in a Bottle”.
After that we decided to go shoot some hoops, and while we were playing I mad a basket!!! It was a TON of fun!!! I watched her and her little sister Toni play most of the time. They played a game of horse, and I was cheering for Sam. Then Toni went inside, but Sam and me stayed out and played longer. I made another hoop!!! It was AWESOME!!! Soon we got tired of basketball so we watched T.V. Then I got to meet Sam’s other animal friends, they were quite pleasant, but they sure chattered a lot. Before I knew it, it was time for dinner, and may I say it was delicious. Well I should say looked delicious because I didn’t eat any.
Sam then told me she was going to make me something, but she said it wasn’t done yet. Plus she might make me a quilt which would be great because traveling in my box/house can get VERY chilly at times. All I can say is that it was a very exciting day. Oh yes before I forget, I also met Sam’s grandparents. They were very sweet. I also forgot to tell you that when Sam was taking a shower I got to meet her family. They were kind and fun. When Sam got out of the shower we played checkers (I really won but Sam says she did). I hope every house I go to is this fun.
