by Mollie and Brooke

I had an awesome time in Math and Social Studies.  In Math some of the kids had to do Mastering Math Facts.  Then I got to see them correct their math.  After that I helped Mollie do her math, which was fun. Then we started Social Studies and had to read a lot of pages.  After that Mollie went on doing her work, and I read some more.  That was cool.  I met Mrs. Jennings at Music class, sang songs, and did the control pilot activity showing when the music went high and low.  Then Brooke took me to Reading and let me read a page or two of Old Yeller before we had discussion about the book.  Then we read Chapter 3 and part of Chapter 4.

Science came next.  We read about rocks and minerals.  Then we went to lunch and Brooke gave me a bite of her mashed potatoes, which I really didn’t care for.  Next we went outside.  We had fun on the swings and then we went on the jungle gym.  Brooke let me go on the slide.  Then we went to the top of the cross monkey bars.  It was a little scary when I sat at the top. When the teacher blew the whistle, we lined up and went to Art.  We watched a movie about water color painting and wrote answers to the questions.

We went to Language Arts next.  We read a Vocabulary story about helpful bacteria, and we also took a test on be and have verbs.  When Brooke went to Band I watched Jericho do his homework.  It was exciting.  After school I went with Mollie to Developing Eagles, an after-school program to help kids with homework and other fun activities.  I met so many new friends.  After Eagles we went to Mollie’s house, and I met her family.  Her mom was very nice, but her sister was cranky, so I left her alone.  After that I watched “Hey Arnold” and then “Rugrats.”  After her mom left to get the pizza, I wasn’t hungry so I took a nap and had a short dream about Soundsational Singers.  When I awoke, Mollie’s dog was about to eat me, but she grabbed me at the last second. Wow! That was close.

After that we went to Dance.  I watched for the first part then I danced. But before that Mollie’s Dance teacher’s fiancé played his drums.  He is quite talented.  I had a great time sitting on the drums.  The Mollie and her mom went to Pump and Pantry for a root beer float.  Mollie didn’t like it so she put it in the freezer.  Before I went to bed Mollie gave me a blanket, which I hope all the kids at school will sign. Well, the family is getting ready to go to bed, so I guess I should go to bed, too.  I hope my next host family is as cool as the others have been!
