Because of Winn-Dixie

The most awesome novel by Kate DiCamillo is about a girl named India Opal Buloni.   She finds a stray dog at a store in her small hometown. At the store the dog is causing a ruckus and the store owner asks “Whose dog is this!!” and Opal claims that the dog is not hers. Winn-Dixie and Opal go everywhere together! They even go to a place where you’d never expect a dog to be.  A church!! If you like realistic fiction this is a good book for you!
