Today's Race Report:
"MEEP,MEEP,MEEP!Time to get up! Oh, man it's another day
of school!I like school though, but some people don't like school so they
don't want to come to school.
First I started off with language arts. We learned about subjects and
predicates. Example:Joe ate an apple for his snack. The subject is Joe and
the the predicate is ate. Mrs. Morrow also read Crash by Jerry Spinelli.
It's a funny and exciting book! After that we had writing workshop. hat's when you get to finish some
writings, finish homework, or check your email. Some people finished typing up their
pumpkin poetry, or typed up up their memoir, or typed up email responses. They
also sent their email response or checked their email. We didn't have much
time. When Mrs. Morrow said it was time to go everybody
got lined up for second rotation.
My second rotation was reading and science. We had Mrs.Laursen for a
subsitute today. For reading we read and did our role sheets. You either did
WORD WIZARD, ARTIFUL ARTIST, CONNECTOR, DISSCUSION DIRECTOR,or PASSAGE
PICKER. Some of the groups finished their books and they will start on
their projects. But some of the people will finish soon.
SURPRISE IT'S TEST TIME! Today we had a test over the Nervous System. I hope
everybody practiced! The test wasn't very hard though. I think everybody did
a good job. After the test we had to color parts of the digestive system.
When the clock struck ten o clock we put our binders in our lockers. Then we got lined up to go to music.
In music we watched a movie about patriot songs because Veterans Day is
coming. We get to run quite a bit of the Veterans Day program. Then music was
over.
''GROWL GROWL.''That was my stomach. Music made me hungry so I'm glad it's
lunch time! For lunch we had a choice of Crosscountry cheeseburgers,
Bobsled stir fry over rice, Frosty yogurt, sled ridin' rice,
snowmobile milk, and snowfort fruit and vegetable bar. On the fruit and
vegetable bar there was watermelon, bread, lettuce, condiments, and
muskmelon. It was a good lunch. My tummy was sure happy when I got food!
Finally the day hit recess. For recess you could play anything you wanted
to play. I played on the things that slide and you hang onto them. Then you
take your feet off the stand and you slide with the sliding handle. But
don't get in trouble at recess because it's time to have fun, not time to
get in trouble!
After recess our class had guidance for our specials today. The other
classes either had library or art. In guidance we went over our all-stars
challenge sheets. Which is when you rate other people by what they do. We also got new sheets for this
week. So be rating people!
Then the people had band if they play an instrument. The instruments you
can play are drums, trumpets, saxophones, clarinets, flutes, and trombones. I
play the drums, I think their cool. The other kids had study hall. In study
hall the kids work on their homework. I band we worked on hard songs in our
book.
Few ,band is over, just a little bit more of school! The last thing of the
day has come. My last rotation is math and social studies. In social studies
we checked a paper, got a study sheet for a test over the Indians on Thursday, and
also did a study sheet that will help us practice for our test. SO GET TO PRACTICING EVERYBODY!
In math we the kids that aren't in the challenge group corrected their papers
that they did. I bet they wished they got a one hundred percent. I think they
did. Then they had to work on a checkpoint in their math books. Mrs. Young just wants to know if their ready for the next part of
the chapter. Don't worry it's not a test! Few, I bet their happy! The
challenge kids which is Laura and me in this rotation. We did a page
together out of our folder.
''DING,DING,DING!' 'School is over! have a good night everybody and be ready
for another day of school tomorrow!
MEEP,MEEP,MEEP!It's time to wake up! Just kidding! Have a good night!
