By:Stephanie Nemec Vote,Vote !Today is Election Day!Lots of people are voting for a president toay.The two canidates are George W. Bush and John Kerry.But sorry kids you have to be eighteen years old to vote.I can't wait to see who is ging to be our presidant!

Now it's time for school!In language arts we had journel warm up first.In journel warm up we wrote about what we think about drugs because this week is Red Ribbon Week.Then we can enter it in the contest that the sixth grade is having.After that we did mug shot sentences.That's when we have to correct sentences that have mistakes or if they need stuff added to them.This week we're working on separating run on sentences.Example:Some kids were reading and some were working on their homework but then the teacher said to stop.The period should be after homework.Then we did the word of the day.Our word today was inauguration and it means a ceremony where they nomanate someone for some event.Then we made our spelling list.After that Mrs.Morrow read some pages out of Crash. The book is funny and exciting!It's a wonderful book! Finally it was time to go to second rotation.

Science time,for me!In science we watched a Magic School Bus movie about the digestive system.Then we had a very good time playing Jeopardy! We played Jeopardy to study for our test that we have tomorrow. Everybody had good sportsmanship and really enjoyed playing it!

After science we had reading.Today was discussion day.Tha's when you read a book and you do these role sheets that go with it.Then you share what you did with your group.The books that we got to choice from are these listed: The Enormous Egg,Frindle,The BFG James and the Giant Peach. I'm reading The Enormous Egg.It's a interesting book and I like it!

Then it was time to go to music. In music we practiced our song for Veteran's Day.Our song is called Fifty Nifty. After that we worked on the songs for our Christmas program. There are some really cool songs that we are doing! Everybody is excited to learn the songs to the the program that we're doing and it's called'' Santa's Rockin Christmas Eve.' Music was fun!

Oh,man I'm hungry!I'm glad that lunch is next. For lunch we had a choice of Super Mexi Potatoes,Macoroni and Cheese,or Yogurt.They also had Cheesy Brocolli for a side dish and a fruit shape up for desert.There also was the salad bar and on the salad there is different foods you can choose from.Everthhing was magnificent!But the thing that really mattered was that I got something to eat!When we finshed eating we headed out to recess.

One,Two ,Three!For recess I played jump rope .But some people did something else.I llike to play jump rope so that's why I played it.Maybe I'll play something different next time though.That's what is good about recess you get to play what you want to play.Beep,Beep!Oh that's the whistle time for guidance.

Today in guidance we talked about Red Ribbon Week and we also got into our All Stars Challenge groups.My groups name is called

The Purple Flurple People.Finally guidance was over and then we had band.But some people aren't in band so they worked on their homerwok.

Boom,Boom!There goes the fifth grade band practicing again.We practiced our songs for the Christmas concert.We're going to play these songs:Farashaca,Jingle Bells,My Dradle,and Jolly Old St. Nick.Now everybody has something to practice!

After band I went to Math.We had a test today over adding and subtracting whole numbers and decimals.But it wasn't very hard.We didn't have Social Studies today because of the test and the Red Ribbon Week activities.So after math we went to homerooms and got ready for the Drug-Free activity for tody.

Today we had to find pictures around the room and decide if they were drugs or things that weren't drugs.Then the things that were good we would put them on the body that was on our door.The things that were drugs we just through them in the trash.Then there would be a judge that would time us and then when we were done checked to see if we were right.Mrs.Morrow's class won out of our grade.But that's o.k.We had fun!

Finally school was over!I can't wait to go to school tomorrow and see what we're going to do!Bye!
