Today's Race Report:
''Get up!'' ''I don't want to get up!'' ''If you don't you will be late for school.'' ''Cool!'' ''Get up!'' ''Okay, okay don't get crabby!'' ''Get down here and eat!'' ''Brush your teeth.'' ''Bundle up!'' ''Get going'' ''Goodbye I'll pick you up after school.'' Does that sound like your morning? Come to school to get away from that. Get to first rotation so you aren't late and get in trouble. Mrs.Kloppenborg had us pull out our sticker charts and get into our discussion groups. We took about 30 minutes to do our discussion. While we do that she goes around and gives grades on our papers we did. After that we did our self evaluations and group ones too. Don't forget to read your 15 minutes and get your sticker chart signed. In science we got into six groups and in each group one piece of paper was given ( the piece of paper is on the side). With that piece of paper everyone used it to identify rocks. Oh yeah I didn't forget to tell you I just didn't remember to tell that today we started a unit on rocks and minerals. Now Mrs.Kloppenborg is lining us up to go to second rotation. A Christmas wish. A Christmas wish. Oh, Mrs.Morrow is having us write a Christmas wish for journal warm-up. After that we went straight into ''Word of the Day''. Today we had three words they were: mass, dormant, and momentum. MUG shot sentences was next. The skill we are working on this week is underlining or putting quotations around book titles or other titles. We didn't read any race reports, but we did another round of ''Scrabble.'' So far second rotation is ahead, but third rotation hasn't had their second turn yet. Time for Mrs. Morrow to read us some more of the book called, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. While she was reading it the power went out for a few seconds, then it turned back on again. Mrs.Morrow isn't going to read that book anymore, she is going to read a book from the author of the month, Katherine Paterson. Vocabulary is due tomorrow. If you didn't get a 100% on your spelling test you have to take it again tomorrow. Study, study, study! Make that goal! Santa's Rockin' Christmas Eve. Either you went to P.E. or to music before you went to lunch. A hamburger, yogurt, or chicken nuggets is what you had a choice of for lunch. Have fun talking to your friends too while you eat. Yeah! the teacher dismissed us to go outside! Ahhhhhhhh get that ball away for me. Can I play? Five whistles! Has it been 20 minutes already? Oh well, I'm getting cold out here! Specials time! In art you got to finish up unfinished projects and experiment with water colors. For library you did a worksheet and read books. Guidance you got to stamp empty pop cans and spray paint them brown to make a reindeer to give to the elderly. Time to study or go to band. Have fun! Back for third rotation. Let's play the games we made. After that we read about Henry Hudson and filled him out on our explorers' chart. Don't forget we have a worksheet to do. Math the final subject of the day! Everyone has problems to have done by tomorrow. Are you getting better at your math facts for Mastering Math Facts? Well get memorizing! Get your planner filled out and go home! See you tomorrow and a good night!
