We had an exciting visitor to fifth grade this morning!  Sandy Conners, from US-92 News in Norfolk visited our class to do a news story for the Channel 4 news.  She watched us read The North Star story online type our goals on the new laptops, and then she interviewed Mrs. Morrow about how our school uses the SMART Boards.  Mrs. Morrow said she was embarrassed to hear herself, but very proud to see the students as she watched the 5:00 news.  Many kids saw themselves on TV and even Alex, our TA, got in a shot or two. Ms. Conners asked if she could return for a follow-up story when  we produce our first edition of this year's Eagle Eye News. What an exciting adventure for so early in the school year!

Today in Reading we learned about thinking while reading.We read about Big Foot.In Science we learned about living cells.In P.E. We played kickball. In Social Studies we did vocabulary words.In Math we played a game called Big 4,Little4,Big5,and Little5.Lunch was okay we had tortilla's or teriyaki chicken.After recess we did art.In Study Hall we are doing work that is not finished.In Language Arts we are going to read The North Star and set goals for our journey.  That's what we did today.
