Today's Race Report:
After a long three day weekend (Labor Day) we all were ready to dive into our learning once again. We only have a four day week this week so we'll have to fit in lots of good thinking in a short time.
In Social Studies we made kachina dolls. These are symbolic of Native American beliefs.
In Math we did page 11 which was rounding numbers to certain place values.
In Language we learned new vocabulary words about appearances (WB p.5). We sketched "Road Maps" of our lives to brainstorm ideas for our autobiographies. We'll be following the 5-Step Writing Process to complete these first pieces of writing from start to finish.
We're still reading The Chocolate Touch in Reading. Friday will be fun-- chocolate fondue!
The Human body is making more and more sense as we get ready for a test on the skeletal system on Thursday.
Have a nice rest of the week!
