Today's Race Report:

    Its 8:00 AM people are going into their homerooms getting ready for another day of 5th grade.

   Its time for Reading everybody finished The Chocolate Touch (pages 78-87 )and as a bonus we all got to do chocolate fondue. Mmmm.

People brought strawberries, Fritos, bananas, apples, raisons, frozen bananas, big marshmallows, little marshmallows, and pretzels , and Mrs. Kloppenborg melted the chocolate. The most popular food to dip in chocolate was Fritos. I want to do fondue again!

      Today we didn't have Science!

       Let's get ready for Math. Math in Math we did AM. Some of us got to do AM tests which weren't so hard. You earn AM points by doing tests.  

Here are the prizes you can get if you get enough AM points:

    Time to learn about peoples cultures! In Social Studies we colored Navajo rugs all sorts of colors. For a reminder all of the people who took Mrs. Young's markers to use for the Navajo rugs need to be returned to her and the rugs are due Wednesday.

  Today some kids had music and others had P.E. In music we learned new songs thanks to Mrs. Jennings who helped us. For P.E. we did sit-up and v-sits.

  Time to eat! For lunch we all had a choice of A: Pizza B: Roast Beef Sandwich C: Hot Ham and Cheese D: Yogurt ( of course) or E: Bring your own lunch! On the salad bar anyone (except for the people who brought their own lunch) could get lettuce, bread, carrots, celery, cottage cheese, peaches, oranges, and all the other things that come in a bottle. After lunch we all (that includes the people who brought their own lunch) went to recess and had fun.

        A QUIZ! A QUIZ! We all had a quiz in Language Arts about vocabulary words in our vocabulary workbook we keep in our binder.  Before we did that we did a page on reviewing how to do the steps went writing stories and other things. Some of us worked on our autobiography but others went to www.gaggle.net on the new laptops to check their gaggle e-mail and to reply messages sent to them.

        All and all we had a fun, learning, and chocolaty day! We got out at 2:30 its the weekend and enjoy it!
