Today's Race Report:

 

Today was a new day to start school. We all went into our seperate homerooms.To start the day off for all of us, we started o get ready for our first rotation. For my first rotation , I went to Science \Reading.

So to start the first rotation, I went straight into Reading. Today was discussion day, where we talk about our roll sheets. I read the book Holes. Today I was Word Wizard and Artful Artist .It wasn't just me reading the book there were other people, too. Tasha, Mitch, and Laura were also people who were reading with me. Then we went into Science. We watched a movie on the SMART BOARD about the nervous system. We learned that there's three parts of the brain, the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the brain stem. The cerebrum tells us what to do. The cerebrum tells our muscles when to move. And the brain stem sends messages from the body to the brain. Then we did an experiment to see how fast the messages get to our brain from our body. Then when we were done with the experiment, we started to get ready for our second rotation.

The second rotation for me was Language Arts. Right away, we started Eagle Eye News for 5th Grade. Quinn and Philip were getting ready to get filmed by Tyler. Also ,other students in the class were doing there thing as well. Then it we went so well that time went a little too fast. Then it was time for music for our class.

In music got out our books, sang a ship song, worked on music papers, and sang a whole lot more songs. then it was time for lunch.

At lunch, you had a choice of either calzones, hot dogs, or yogurt. What you could drink was either chocolate milk or plain white milk. And to add more to your food, there was a salad bar. Then, it was time for recess, the funnest part of the day.

I played with my friends, visited with them, and talked to each other. Then, it was time for the 5th Graders to line up to go inside. It was a little too noisy when we lined up. Then ,finally, we went inside.

My homeroom,(5c),had Guidance. Then after Guidance was over it was Study Hall time. Part of the classroom left to go to 1:10p.m Band and part of the room stayed in the room. Now it's time to get ready for the third rotation.

The third rotation for me is Math/Social Studies, with my homeroom. We have to get our project papers and give them to the teacher. Then we read in our old Social Studies book from page 118 about the Nez Perce Indians. Then we read in our Native American pockets about the Nez Perce Indians. Then we glued and cut out picture dictionary cards.

Than we went into Math. We did our Part 1 of Summative 5.1 and we did Accelerated Math. Than we went to our homerooms, filled in our planners and went home.
