Lindsey A.
Good morning! I hope you brought your brain today. To
start off the day I always go to Mrs.Young's room for social studies and
math. Mrs.Young had a sub; it was Mrs.Smith. In math we learned about
decimals. We had a worksheet pg P1-8 about comparing and ordering
decimals. In social studies we graded our papers we had the night before.
Then we got a packet about the Tlingit Indians of the Northwest. We didn't
quite finish the packet, but it was interesting to learn about them and
their culture.
We finally got to move onto language arts. We had to
take a spelling practice test. The people who were going to be gone on
Friday had to take a quiz ovev commas and a vocabulary quiz . We also did
the mug week 4 on our palms. That is where we have to proofread sentences
and correct them. I had a fun time in language arts, but it was over.
Next we had to go to P.E were we played tip touch, and I
actually got a homerun! P.E was over.
Uh oh theres a rumble in my stomach -- good thing it was
lunch next . My class finally got to eat, and I had a chicken sandwich
with BBQ sauce on it. Yum! Yum! After lunch we always get recess. My
friends and I played on our new playground equipment. It was awesome dude!
After recess we had science and reading. We started off
with science. In science some people took the science test because they
were going to be gone tomorrow. Mattie M. said ''the science test was
easy.'' We got a packet about the parts of a flower. Mrs.Kloppenborg
grabbed us in for reading. During reading I read chapters 7-12 from my
book Maniac Magee, but then she stopped me because I had to go to
band.
Bang bang! Have you heard the 5th grade band? We have
been having a great time in band. We have been working really hard and at
the same time having fun. Mr. Dean is really funny. He makes us laugh. Mr.
Dean said we have been working really hard and it has payed off. Band was
over and we headed back to our homeroom.
Ding, ding, ding it's time to go home . I hope we have a
great and interesting day tomorrow. See ya!
