On that day:

 

*            I need to be responsible to check out a Palm keyboard from Mrs. Morrow and borrow the digital camera periodically throughout the day to take pictures of the day’s events. 

*            I should try to start my “Sacred Scroll” entry during the day (especially in Language class) and should work on it in any work time that I have.

 

When I go home that night:

 

*            I am allowed (and expected!) to take my handheld and keyboard home.

*             I need to proofread my writing with the help of an adult and make sure that my writing is ready to be published online for all to read. 

 

When I return to school the next morning:

 

*            I should go to Mrs. Morrow’s room first thing and either beam her my file or hot-synch my Palm. 

 

 


Checklist:

q The first line and name of my document is today’s date with hyphens and no spaces, like this: 8-22-05

q The second line of my document is my first name and last initial.

q I wrote about the main things we did or learned in every class we had today.

qI took at least 3, but no more than 8 pictures of the day’s events.  I tried to get photos of different people doing in different classes doing different things. 

q I tried to begin with an opening statement that would capture the reader’s interest.

q I summarized the day at the end with a concluding statement.

q When revising, I looked for strong  (action words) and added descriptive adjectives to make my writing interesting.  I changed words if I used the same word over and over again.
