Buffalo Bill Cody

Did you know that I started the first slaughter shop? My name is Buffalo Bill Cody. I was born in North Platte NE. I was just a little kid when I worked on the pony express. When I was a teenager I thought about going to the army. The whole reason I went to the army was because I liked to fight Indians. When I was done with the service I met this guy named Wild Bill Hitchcock. Wild Bill asked me if would perform on stage. I said no, but he said I would be paid.

One day I met this girl named Lois Fredrick. We got married and had eight children. My Wild West Show became famous and people all over the U. S. came to watch. Now today when you see a rodeo, think about me!
