John Glenn

Did you know I was the first man to control a rocket?  I, John Glenn, lived to be a famous space traveler and more!  When I was little I would soar planes through the air for fun.  I was in WW2 and flew a plane called a B52 Bomber. Then I was accepted by NASA to pilot a spaceshuttle called friendship 7.  We orbited the Earth!  I became famous all over America.  Later I was even elected to be a senator in Washington DC.  NASA asked me to go back into space to study the effects of space on older people when I was 77.  Now I am the oldest person ever in space!  Who knows, maybe someday you can travel to outer space, too!
