Good morning!
Yesterday I had tons of fun but I know I will even have more fun today because
today is the Wax Museum. The Wax Museum is where every kid in the fifth grade
dresses up as somebody who made a difference in the world. They had a little
speech that they would read after somebody would drop a coin or shake their coin
can. I got to be with Teddy Rosevelt at the Wax Museum because teddy bears were
named after him. I was surprised at
how many times he said his speech. It seemed like about 60 times or more. The
Wax Museum was held from 8:15 to 11:30 while every grade was coming in our
classrooms and parents of the students who did this project.
Other wax figures included: Marie Curie, Milton Hershey, Amelia Earheart,
Princess Diana, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Queen Elizabeth, Ben Franklin, and many
more. It was very fun and exciting!!!!
Thank
goodness it is lunch time!! Today I had Chicken Fried Steak with smashed
potatoes and gravy. It was delicious. I ate in Ms. Bauer's room with Kelsey. We
played a fun game after we ate and then we went to art class. In art we worked
on our houses that we are designing. I worked with David while he was making his
windows for his house. His house is going to be the coolest one there!!!
What
instrument do you play for band? Well, today I played the clarinet with Kelsey,
Alex, Kelci, and Desi. They are really good. The band played cool songs that I
knew. I was going to go to lessons with the clarinets but they decided not to
since they were going to watch a movie. They cleaned their instruments and then
went to count their money.
Kelsey and I went to go count money for her Wax Museum. She made $11.29.
We went to watch Where the Red Fern Grows in Mrs. Young’s room. Halfway
through the movie Mrs. Morrow came in to tell us how much money we made for the
Wax Museum. Can you guess how much? The whole fifth grade got $476!! The
money will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. After school got out I went
to Soundsational Singers. They talked about the upcoming trip to
Minneapolis
. Then they sang Old Carrion Crow and The Heart of America. WAAHOOOO! I
screamed as I slid down the slide on the playground after singers.
Kelsey’s mom picked us up and then we went to Dollar General for the Treat
Sale
tomorrow. She then started to talk on messenger with Molly. They talked
a lot. Messenger is really cool and I think I am going to get it. We are
working on the Race Report right now. They left to go to the
Ewing
game
at about 5:45 and I stayed home. I waited until the start of the game so I
could hear the game on the radio with her grandma.
I had a really fun time with Kelsey and I can’t wait till she gets
home. Tomorrow I am going to have another great and then I get off for
Spring Break. I can’t wait what tomorrow has for me!!
