The purpose of the Nebraska Mock Trial Competition is to stimulate and

encourage a deeper understanding and appreciation of the legal system.

Students participating will experience what it is like to prepare for and present a case before a judge.

Working with a team and coaches, students will learn to evaluate information and respond

quickly. By studying and understanding courtroom procedure, the students will

become more comfortbale with the federal and state laws as part of the legal

system. Students play the roles of witnesses or lawyers in performing the

case before real juddges and lawyers from the 8th Judicial District of Nebraska.
