The study of foreign language is vital to a students learning because it exposes each individual to different cultures. This exposure fosters an awareness of the world around us and plants the idea that there is more to the world than just our little hometown here in the Midwest. This study also enables the student to cope more effectively with our ever-changing world.

Advantages with Learning a Foreign Language:

Taking a foreign language will give students an advantage if they decide to further their education after high school and will open up more and better employment opportunities in the future. Foreign language study encourages self-discipline, memorization, reasoning, curiosity, and creativity, which are all qualities found in many academically, well-rounded individuals today.
