ESU 8 is searching for an individual to serve as the MTSS Coordinator and Instructional Coach for 19 school districts. MTSS is a framework that promotes an integrated system connecting general education and special education, along with all components of teaching and learning, into a highly quality, standards based instruction and intervention system that is matched to a student’s academic, social emotional, and behavior needs. An instructional coach provides supports to classroom teachers as they implement evidence based instructional practices in their classrooms. The position involves: training adults, providing technical assistance for MTSS, coaching adults in the use of evidence-based practices across a 7-county area.
- 5 years minimum of professional and/or school district experience
- Knowledge and understanding of best practices in core academic and behavior instruction and evidence-based interventions
- Experience in the MTSS process
- Salary based on education and experience
- Starting date is August 1, 2021
